DAB+ equipment at Zug Cantonal Hospital

Sumatronic was able to equip the Zug Cantonal Hospital with a self-sufficient DAB+ system. With the Sumatronic repeater system, around 70 DAB radio programs can now be easily received throughout the building from every CATV socket.

Thanks to the independence of the DAB+ system, radio reception in the building is now guaranteed even in the event of an internet outage, cyberattack, line or power failure. This ensures that the radio is available as a self-sufficient information channel even in emergency situations.

Previously, the local cable network operator supplied the region and the hospital with FM radio programs. However, the operator switched off its FM signals and from then on, radio reception in the hospital was only possible with additional adapter devices.

Radio reception makes an important contribution to well-being. Not only, but above all, people who often work in rooms without daylight greatly appreciate this contact with the outside world. Radio reception also supports staff mentally and helps to avoid sick days.
