AVT Updates & Product News
Since 1996, AVT has been developing and manufacturing digital audio transmission technology for broadcasters and service providers around the world.
The innovative products from Nuremberg for broadcast applications are divided into the areas of audio codecs, telephone hybrids, and DAB/DAB+ equipment. Here is a summary of some of the new features:
Security upgrade: AVT multiplexer supports ASA
In disaster situations, mobile networks are often overloaded or unavailable. Therefore, an independent infrastructure for informing the population is essential. DAB offers a robust and established transmission network that functions reliably even in crisis situations.

AVT telephone hybrid available as a software solution
The MAGIC Server expands the telephone hybrid portfolio with a scalable, software-based telephone hybrid & audio codec server. The server variants can be run on both a physical server and a virtual machine, whereby the basic variant can also be operated on a current desktop PC/workstation. Integration into the local audio network is possible via a virtual AES67 sound card, an external USB Dante®/Ravenna/MADI sound card (RME Digiface), or a classic internal or external ASIO-compatible multi-channel sound card. With the Redundant Server Token for MAGIC Server Professional, you can set up a redundant server in a very cost-effective way.

Visual connections with MAGIC Collaboration Services (WebRTC or MS Teams)
MAGIC Collaboration Services, together with MAGIC hybrid phones, enable connection to Microsoft Teams and WebRTC collaboration software. This means that users now have access to the same range of functions as usual, but with the addition of a video signal.

MAGIC AC1 Go audio codec with redundant streams
The AC1 go is the alternative to the larger MAGIC ACip3 audio codec. Secure streaming is integrated for reliable audio connections, guaranteeing highly reliable transmission via redundant transmission. The two streams can be transmitted with a delay to prevent failure even in the event of burst errors by means of inaudible switching.
Ideal for OB trucks, mobile use, studio installations with limited space, or as a cost-effective alternative to ACip3. The system can be used for AoIP dial-up connections or IP leased lines. Supported codecs: PCM, MPEG Layer 2, MPEG Layer 3, AAC-LD/ELD, AAC-LC, HE-AACV1/V2, Opus, FLAC, G.711, G.722 (some with license upgrade).
